Located off of Cave Creek Rd. just north of Sweetwater Ave., BASIS Phoenix offers its community an academically accelerated education in sixth grade through twelfth grade. Looking for kindergarten through fifth grade? Visit BASIS Phoenix Primary.

Our beautiful campus opened in 2012 and serves around 750 students from a multitude of diverse backgrounds. The BASIS Phoenix Firebirds proudly represent their community in the BASIS Curriculum Schools network.

  • BASIS Phoenix earned national recognition from U.S. News & World Report in 2019, ranking in the following categories:
    • #35 on America’s Best High Schools list
    • #7 on Arizona’s Best High Schools list
    • #10 on America’s Best Charter High Schools list
    • #58 on America’s Best STEM High Schools list
  • Several of our students earn AP Scholar Awards averaging about 11.5 AP Exams per graduate.
  • Historically, BASIS Phoenix received an overall pass rate of 85.4 percent on AP Exams, including multiple exams that received 100 percent pass rates.
  • On the OECD Test for Schools (based on PISA), BASIS Phoenix students score better than students in Shanghai-China in “Math, Reading, and Science.”
  • Our debate team is ranked in the top 25 in Arizona.
  • Anne Levy, AP English Language Teacher, released her second novel, The Well of Prayers.
  • Cross Country team took the CAA State Championship.
